Google has made an official announcement that the Panda algorithm update is now globally pushed live for all English-language users. This update, which affected approximately 12 percent of all search results in its initial rollout, is aiming at eliminating low-quality “farm” content.
Yesterday’s update brings these changes to a more widespread audience. Google has also said that round two of this rollout incorporates “new user feedback signals.” This means that in certain situations, a high number of users blocking a site will result in a decrease in ranking. As compared to phase one, this update affects a much smaller portion of search results, coming in at only about 2 percent.
The Panda update has not affected non-English search results as of yet, but Google has mentioned this to be in the plans once additional testing is completed.
